Q: How did you get involved with the Oswald brand?
A: I got involved via a mutual friend, however, I had always been a fan of the products Oswald sells.
Q: What are your main focuses when you are not playing?
A: When I'm not playing I am busy making horses at Dart Bloodstock. There are a lot of very talented ponies to work on, as well as lots of on-site development. It all keeps me incredibly busy!
Q: How did you get involved with polo?
A: I had a taster session through my school in Lincolnshire and we went to Leadenham Polo Club. I was instantly hooked.
Q: Which players inspire you the most?
A: The player who has inspired me the most is James Harper. After spending a couple of months at his yard in 2020, I found his approach to the game and his mindset, inspiring.
Q: Where do you source your ponies from?
A: All of the horses I play are from Dart Bloodstock, they all have incredible athleticism and speed.
Q: What are your interests outside of polo?
A: I like playing squash and golf. I find both are great sports to do on the side.
Q: What is your most prized possession?
A: Of course it has to be the horses, without them there is no polo!
Q: What is your drink of choice?
A: Coffee
Q: What are your plans for next year?
A: I am currently in the process of firming up next season's plans, however, it looks like I will be playing most of my polo in Cirencester, but will have some more time playing at Cowdray and Guards.
Q: What would you like to achieve in the next five years?
A; I want to continue growing Dart Bloodstock and I want to be making some of the best ponies around the world! In five years time, our foals will be coming through and we will be producing 10 horses per year group. In terms of playing, I want to be pushing 5 goals in five years and have broken into the high goal.
My favourite Oswald clothing item has to be the team shirts! Oswald is fantastic at helping you customise and design some great looking shirts. I have played in Oswald shirts belonging to a lot of different teams this year and the designs are always unique and they are very comfy to play in.
My favourite horsewear item that Oswald sells are Husk boots, I think they are brilliant. As well as looking smart, they serve a very practical job in keeping the ponies legs very cool, whilst still giving the necessary support. I will definitely be investing in more next year.
I also had some Oswald "Best Playing Pony" rugs" for the Dart Bloodstock tournament at the end of the 2023 season and they were fantastic.
